SKATEROCK

Al Penzone has been working on a Kevin Daly Tribute album for almost two years. After the release of three CD’s worth of songs covering Kevin’s music from a wide variety of bands Al capped it off with a fantastic show at the Yucca Tap Room.  You can read more about the show and the tribute project at the Daly Dogpile.  A real highlight of the night was the reunion of The Nova Boys who were a core part of Phoenix’s early punk scene.  Although they had not played together since 1986 they threw down a set of raw punk fueled roots rock that satisfied the crowd.
