After a four month delay due to a a broken wrist The Father Figures recorded and released their second album “All About Everything”.  The CD release show was at the Crescent Ballroom in downtown Phoenix; a fabulous venue for live music.  The night opened with the last show by Vellum.  Their set of garage rock with a side of psychedelica was truly a jaw dropping experience.  How can a band so good not play anymore.  It’s sad but I was damn glad I was there to hear it.  The Smoke Bombs played their debut set at the show.  This band is Chris Yeoman’s project after the split from Asses of Evil.  They played a tight set of bombastic punk rock in the vein of early Clash or Social Distortion.  The Father Figures played all the songs from their new CD plus a few old ones.  For three songs Bill Goethe joined on second guitar to add some extra oomph.
